From your perspective, what is a moderator and what is their job on a server? A moderator is a person who show's leadership and works hard to make the server a better place for existing and new members of the community, a moderator is also someone who is always moderating and is just and all around person with the community. What can you bring to Vulcan Network Deathrun? Leadership and fun throughout the server, also I can insure with my role as a moderator make it a place for people to want to come back to and I'm frequently on the server. General Moderator Questions A person joins the server and begins to mic/text chat spam.What do you do? Firstly a warning will be given and reintroduction to the rules and if done more than once I would do a mute/gag for 10 minutes if they proceed to do it I will mute/gag for 30 minutes if they continue to do this i will kick them, if they continue to do it after i have kicked them then i’ll ban them for 30 minutes and more if they keep on doing it. A Death is pushing all of the buttons before players even get to them. What do you do? I will explain to them on how they are ruining the fun for other players and explain the rules to them then use the command !punish (name) after then if this continues I will punish them again then if they do it more it will result in a kick then a ban from 10 to x amount of hours depending on how many times they do this. You have received many complaints of someone dodging their duties as a Death. What do you do? I will see if the complaints check out and talk to the person dodging and same command can be used for this one as well as !punish (name) then same for the last one the punishments will keep getting higher the more times they do it. A player has somehow managed to exploit the map. What do you do? If i were to witness someone exploiting the map to skip past multiple traps at a time , i would warn them that it’s against the rules, if they still do it, i would slay them. If they were using exploits to get weapons, i would strip them. If they use the exploit to avoid death I would punish them. If they try to tell others about it I would warn them to not do it but if done I would mute/gag them so no one else would do it. if they came back and tried them again, I would increase the ban the times as they come back and try it again. Someone is constantly asking for points and annoying other players. What do you do? I will talk to them and warn them. If still persisting to ask I will mute/gag them for 10 minutes and if done more a mute/gag for 30 minutes will be done. After that 30 minutes if still bothering people about points I will kick them for 10 minutes then 30 minutes if they join back and keep doing it. If furthermore done after a kick a ban will be in place for x amount of time depending on how many times they come back and keep doing it. Command Questions What is the difference between !mute & !gag? !mute is for text chat and !gag is for voice chat. If someone is stuck in a trap, what command do you use to teleport them to you? !Bring (name) or !teleport (name) What does !p do? It makes a private chat with someone Someone is constantly abusing players and staff members with no intention to stop, as well and having vile sprays. What command(s) is/are used in this situation? Firstly you use the !gag (name) and !mute (name)if they start to use text chat then if they come back the next day you could either !kick (name) (reason) them or !ban (name) (time) (reason) them. With Vile Sprays I would first warn the person about using them and talk to them about the rules but if done after I've talked to them !slay them for that round and talk to them once again to stop but if still persisting to do it I would kick for 10 minutes, then if they come back and do it I would kick them for 30 minutes. If still persisting to do it after two kicks I would ban them for x amount of time depending on how many times they do it. In what situations should the !slay command be used? If someone is AFK, exploiting, cheating, delaying or caught in a trap that should kill them. Also when I go to your steam profile you only had 81 hours on gmod (file attached) I haven't seen you on yet either so I really cannot give you a + or - rep. Maybe try and give a little more detail with your answers with some of them as well. With this question here, it seems like you were in a hurry because some of it doesn't make any sense. You also left something out of your answer that was in the question... (vile sprays) Someone is constantly abusing players and staff members with no intention to stop, as well and having vile sprays.
